INJAZ In Action

Programs

INJAZ programs have INSPIRED 2 million students

INJAZ programs help students gain insight into the complexities and rewards of entrepreneurship and business in today’s interdependent market economy. Successful local business leaders serve as classroom mentors to make the economic concepts relevant, fuel entrepreneurial spirits, and challenge students to excel. In order to effectively implement these programs, INJAZ recruits private sector volunteers to work directly with the students. In doing so, INJAZ programs effectively bridge the gap between the classroom environment and the workplace. Through these programs, INJAZ provides youth with the foundations of entrepreneurism so they themselves are employed and can further employ others, resulting in a lower unemployment rate in the MENA region.

Competitions

National Competition

Each year, the competition sees thousands of students participate, with the creation of hundreds of student companies. Each individual who takes part in the Company Program Competition gains valuable life skills that have the potential to change the future.

Regional Competition

Concluding six months of experiential education and training in work readiness, financial literacy and entrepreneurship, students from 14 different member nations meet each year to contend for the INJAZ Al-Arab Young Entrepreneurs top accolade—“Best Company of the Year.”

Online Competition

INJAZ Al-Arab hosts an online business competition that encourages Arab youth to build their entrepreneurial and financial skills, while taking advantage of the unique capacities of the online environment. Through online platforms that promote collaboration and competition, students are encouraged to test what they’ve learned and improve their entrepreneurial skills. Successful students and their companies have the opportunity to apply for start-up capital and further mentorship in order to get their business off the ground. The Online Business Plan Competition teaches students how to develop their business ideas into a compelling business plan that they can present to potential investors.
